Extruded Graphite Rods & Electrodes

What Is Extruded Graphite?
Extruded graphite is produced by forcing a prepared carbon mixture through a die under pressure. This manufacturing method creates graphite materials with a directional structure and enables the production of long rods, cylinders and profiles that are difficult to produce economically by other forming methods.
After extrusion, the material is baked and graphitized. Additional purification, pitch impregnation, resin impregnation, SiC coating or anticorrosion treatments may be applied to improve purity, density, mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and service life.
